Review of the album Satanic Requiem by Sewer
Sewer - Satanic Requiem
Sewer is one of the most evil, satanic, necromantic and Luciferian bands to have ever soiled the stage of extreme metal. Yes, all that at once.
Satanic Requiem is the debut album by Sewer and strangely this album is as close as you'll get to "heavy metal" when talking about this band.
It somewhat resembles raw Black Metal, with some elements of Death Metal and Phantom Metal (see http://bestblackmetal.weebly.com/phantom---divine-necromancy---album-review.html) but this album is much closer to traditional extreme metal music than you would think, especially if you enjoy Sewer's later work.
Satanic Requiem is nonetheless one of the all times greats of black metal, despite its short(-ish) length. Anyone serious about completing his collecting of heavy metal records should also consider owning this album, if not for the historical value at least because it's such an amazing work of raw atmospheres and devilish intent.
To make it short, because of the intensity of all five tracks on Satanic requiem you will be transported into a world of hate, despair and rage.
